Ramsey Park thrives on the amazing members of our community, & we plan to keep it that way! If you're interested in helping Friends of the Park grow or helping maintain the park & its beauty, below are a few easy ways to get involved.
Jamboree Event
We host an event in the summer to raise funds to help maintain & improve Ramsey Park. This one-day event needs a lot of hands to all come together. Volunteer as an individual or a group for a few hours. We need help with all sorts of things such as setting up, directing traffic, serving food, selling tickets, providing music, handing out activities, helping with games or attractions, etc. No experience is needed as we’ll provide directions at the time. Our next Jamboree is scheduled for Wednesday, June 8, 2022!
Subject Expert
Do you know a lot about local history? How about fishing, native wildflowers, or tapping maple trees? Whatever your specialty is, we would love to work with you to help share knowledge about things that may be in the park! This could take many forms such as an in-person class offered in the park, a video we could post online, or even just some trivia for visitors to enjoy. We would love to brainstorm with you about how to add some expertise to various areas of the park!
Park Maintenance
Interested in a team building activity? Contact us—we may have projects that we would love some help with. In the past, groups have helped with things such as painting shelters or staining bridges. We’ve also had others do things like construct a Little Free Library near the campground area.
Clean Up
See some trash out of place or some rocks on a path? Anytime you’re in the park, please help put things in their place. We truly appreciate everyone who takes a few extra steps to help keep our park neat & tidy for all to enjoy.
Park Advocate
Help us by sharing your experiences at Ramsey Park with your family, friends, & co-workers. In this day & age, there are so many opportunities from in-person conversations to social media platforms where you can easily share photos & videos. Help us tell others about this local treasure!
